UNLEASH THE UNTOLD

Huawei officially closed its bootloader unlock code service in 2018—there is no official method to request an unlock code from Huawei for most newer devices, including many P30 Lite variants. If you have an older device with an existing unlock code or purchased a code from a reputable third-party vendor, proceed carefully. Many third-party services sell unlock codes but carry risk; verify reputation and reviews.

If you already have an unlock code, continue. If not, your realistic options:

If you have a numeric unlock code, run:

fastboot oem unlock <unlock_code>

or, on newer fastboot variants:

fastboot flashing unlock <unlock_code>

Replace <unlock_code> with the code string. Confirm any prompts on the device. This will factory-reset the phone.

If the command returns “FAILED” or “unknown command,” try the alternative above or ensure you have an up-to-date fastboot binary.

HCU (Huawei Code Unlocker) is the gold standard for Huawei Kirin chipsets. The P30 Lite uses the Kirin 710, which is supported.

Steps (Verified):

  • Enter Fastboot: Power off. Hold Volume Down + Power until you see the "Fastboot & Rescue Mode" screen (white text on black).
  • Connect to HCU: Plug the phone into the PC. Open HCU Client. Select the correct COM port if asked. HCU will read your phone’s info (Model, IMEI, FB Lock status).
  • Read Codes: Click "Read Codes via Server". HCU queries Huawei’s deprecated server using a backdoor. It will display your Bootloader Unlock Code (16-20 digits).
  • Execute Unlock:
