The New Order is a surprisingly hefty game. It uses the id Tech 5 engine (a modified version of the engine behind Rage and Doom 2016). id Tech 5 is notorious for two things: mega-textures and poor compression.
For someone on a 1 Mbps connection, downloading 45 GB means roughly 100+ hours of continuous downloading. The RG Mechanics repack cuts that time nearly in half. This is the core appeal of Wolfenstein The New Order RG Mechanics.
