The PlayStation Vita’s security model relies on per-title encryption keys and license files. Within the console’s homebrew and modding scene, the concept of a “ZRIF key” has emerged as a compact representation of a game’s decryption parameters. This paper examines the ZRIF key for Uncharted: Golden Abyss (PCSE-00012 / PCSF-00001), its derivation, and its application in generating usable work.bin license files for the game.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss is a physical-only title for the PlayStation Vita. Sony Bend developed it as a showcase for the handheld's hardware capabilities. Because it was never sold on the PlayStation Store as a digital item, a PSN license (and therefore a zRIF key) was never generated for the game itself.
