While the Archer C6 v2.x (Qualcomm) has excellent OpenWRT support, the v3.20 (Realtek) is a different beast. Realtek drivers are proprietary and harder for open-source communities to support.
Verdict: Stick to stock TP-Link firmware for v3.20. If you need OpenWRT, trade your router for a v2.x or buy a different model like the C6U or Xiaomi AX3000T.
