Renault Kangoo Ze Service Reset Top

There are two primary methods. Try Method 1 first (Applicable to 90% of Kangoo ZE models from 2013 to 2021).

This is the official “button dance” used by Renault technicians when they forget their CLIP diagnostic laptop.

Step 2: Activate Ignition (Do NOT start) Press the Start button once without your foot on the brake pedal. You will see the dashboard illuminate. You should see the “Service” or “Top” light flashing.

Step 3: Locate the Trip Reset Button Look at the instrument cluster. Find the single button that sticks out from the left or right side of the dial (usually the right side on LHD models). It often has a spanner icon or “000” above it. There are two primary methods

Step 6: Observe the Reset The display will change to “=0” or “Service OK” or the “Top” message will disappear. The spanner icon will vanish.

Step 7: Verify Turn off the ignition completely. Wait 30 seconds. Turn the ignition back on. The “Service Top” warning should be gone.

If the spanner remains – Repeat steps 4–8 but hold TRIP for longer (up to 15 seconds) before the ignition cycle.
