Qld Drivers Licence: Template
The government updates the QLD drivers licence template every 3-5 years to stay ahead of counterfeiters. As of the latest iteration (post-2020), these features are standard:

If you run a pub, bottle shop, or car rental agency, do not rely on "template matching." Use the Queensland Licence Verification system:

Under Section 488 of the Criminal Code (Qld) – Forgery and Uttering – producing a false document (including a driver licence) to gain a benefit or cause a detriment is an indictable offence.
The Queensland driver licence has evolved significantly. Since 2016, TMR has issued the "Smart Licence" —a polycarbonate card (not laminated plastic) that meets Australian and international security standards.
