Title: A Campus Encounter – From Her Point of View
I’m standing by the old elm tree near the library, the late‑afternoon sun slipping through its leaves and casting a warm, golden glow over the campus. The air carries the faint scent of fresh coffee from the nearby café, mingling with the soft rustle of pages turning inside the library. I’ve been waiting for a while now, feeling the flutter of anticipation each time a footstep echoes on the cobblestones.
He arrives, his sneakers making a quiet thud as he slows down to meet me. He’s wearing a simple white shirt, sleeves rolled up just enough to reveal the muscles of his forearms—an effortless blend of casual confidence and understated charm. When he smiles, his eyes crinkle at the corners, and I can’t help but feel my heart pick up its rhythm.
“Hey,” he says, his voice low and warm, just the way I like it. “Sorry I’m a little late.” He brushes a stray lock of hair from his forehead, and I notice the faint hint of a cologne that’s both fresh and woody.
I smile back, feeling a blush rise to my cheeks. “No worries. I’ve been looking forward to this all day.” I glance down at the small notebook I’ve been doodling in—some half‑finished sketches of the campus, a reminder of the creative chaos that usually fills my days.
He steps closer, and I can feel the faint heat radiating from his presence. There’s a moment of silence where the world seems to narrow down to just the two of us. He reaches out, his hand resting gently on the back of my chair. The touch is light, a simple, reassuring gesture, yet it sends a pleasant shiver through me.
“Do you want to go somewhere a bit quieter?” he asks, his tone both playful and sincere. I nod, and together we slip away from the bustling walkway, weaving through a series of narrow pathways lined with ivy-covered walls.
We find a small, secluded garden tucked behind the science building—a hidden spot I’ve discovered during late‑night study sessions. The garden is bathed in the soft, amber glow of lanterns that hang from wrought‑iron arches. The scent of jasmine drifts on the breeze, wrapping us in a gentle, fragrant veil.
He pulls a bench into view, and we sit side by side. The conversation flows easily, shifting from class projects and favorite books to the little quirks that make each of us unique. He laughs at my stories about the chaotic art club meetings, and I can’t help but be drawn to the way his eyes light up when he talks about his own passions.
As the evening deepens, the distance between us narrows. He leans in, his breath warm against my cheek, and whispers, “I’ve wanted to do this for a while.” My pulse quickens, and I find myself leaning into his words, feeling a sweet, nervous excitement settle over me.
His hand finds mine, fingers interlacing in a gentle, comforting grip. The touch is simple, but it feels like a promise—a shared moment that belongs only to us. We sit like this for a while, savoring the quiet intimacy, the soft rustle of leaves, and the unspoken understanding that this connection is something special.
The night wraps around us, and as we finally stand to leave, we share a lingering glance that says more than any words could. He brushes a kiss against my forehead, a tender, respectful gesture that leaves a lingering warmth. I step away with a smile, feeling both exhilarated and content, carrying with me the memory of an evening that felt like a secret chapter of the campus itself.
Walking back toward the main quad, I realize that moments like these—filled with genuine connection, soft laughter, and a hint of anticipation—are the ones that make college life unforgettable. And as the lights of the dormitories begin to flicker on, I know that this is only the beginning of a story that we’ll both cherish.
POV – Goyangan di Kampus

Aku, Dinda, menatap layar laptop sambil menunggu kelas Statistik selesai.
“Hi, Bu,” balasku, berusaha menahan jantung berdebar. “Ada apa?”
Dia mengangguk ke arah kafe terdekat. “Aku ada ide. Mau ikut minum kopi? Aku tahu tempat yang cocok buat ngobrol santai.”
Aku mengangguk.
Tanpa ragu, aku mengangguk.
Perlahan, kami mulai mengeksplorasi satu sama lain.
“Terima kasih, Bu,” kataku, suaraku masih bergetar. If you’re navigating campus life and you’ve got
Dia menepuk bahuku dengan lembut. “Aku juga. Ini baru permulaan, Dinda. Kita masih banyak hal yang belum dijelajahi bersama.”
Aku menutup mata, membiarkan rasa hangat mengalir melalui tubuhku. Di luar, angin sore berbisik lewat jendela terbuka, seolah memberi restu pada kebersamaan kami.

Saat jam menunjukkan pukul dua belas, cahaya pertama matahari menembus jendela laboratorium, mengubah nuansa neon menjadi cahaya keemasan. Kami berdua terdiam, menatap langit pagi yang perlahan mengusir kegelapan.
“Terima kasih,” bisikku, masih terengah‑engah namun penuh rasa syukur.

Doi mendekat, mengulurkan tangannya.
Aku mengangguk tanpa ragu.
He arrived a little later than the rest of us, walking through the crowd with that effortless confidence that only a senior who’s been through a few semesters can own. He wore a simple white shirt, the sleeves rolled up just enough to show off his forearms—muscles that hinted at the late‑night gym sessions he never bragged about. His smile was easy, his eyes scanning the room before finally locking onto mine.
I felt the heat rise in my cheeks, a familiar flutter that I tried to mask with a playful grin. He made his way over, and the conversation started as light as the music: jokes about the professor’s impossible assignments, a quick debate about the best coffee spot near the library, and a shared laugh when someone attempted an impromptu dance move that turned into a near‑miss with a lamp post.
When the night finally wound down and the lights flickered back to normal, we exchanged numbers with a promise to meet up at the campus café the next day. The next morning, while waiting for our coffee, we laughed about our clumsy dance moves and the way the music had seemed to “own” us for a few precious minutes.
That night remains one of those rare campus memories that feel both ordinary and extraordinary at the same time. It reminded me that the goyangan—the dance, the movement, the sway—can be a powerful form of communication, a way to bridge the gap between friendship and something more.
