The Prologue You play as a young trainer who moves to the small town of Postwick with your mother and your energetic childhood friend, Hop. On your first day exploring the Slumbering Weald—a misty forest on the outskirts of town—you encounter a mysterious, decrepit Pokémon that vanishes into the mist. This is your first brush with the legendary Pokémon Zamazenta, the "Heroes of Many Battles."
You soon receive your first partner Pokémon (Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble) from Chairman Rose, the charismatic leader of the Galar Pokémon League. The Journey As you travel across Galar, collecting Gym Badges and dealing with the mischievous Team Yell (the rowdy superfans of your rival, Marnie), you notice strange occurrences. Wild Pokémon are becoming gigantic and rampaging, glowing with a strange red aura. These are Dynamax phenomena, a power unique to Galar.
However, Chairman Rose is not content with the status quo. He is obsessed with an energy crisis he believes will strike Galar in a thousand years. He believes the only way to save the future is to unleash the full power of Eternatus, the "Wishing Star," an alien Pokémon that fell to earth 20,000 years ago. The Darkest Day The climax occurs in the city of Hammerlocke. Rose, in his desperation, awakens Eternatus to harvest its energy. However, he loses control. Eternatus unleashes a massive storm of Dynamax energy, causing Pokémon all over Galar to rampage simultaneously—the true "Darkest Day."
You and Hop race to the top of the Hammerlocke energy plant. In a final confrontation, Eternatus takes on its massive "Eternamax" form. Just when all hope seems lost, the ancient heroes of legend appear to aid you. With the help of the Rusted Shield (which turns Zamazenta into its Crowned Shield form), you battle and capture Eternatus, ending the crisis. The Championship With the world saved, you return to the primary goal: becoming the Champion. You face off against the undefeated Champion, Leon (Hop’s older brother), in a final match in Wyndon Stadium. After defeating him, you are crowned the new Champion of Galar.
Technical Note for NSP users: If you have the Base NSP (v1.0.0), you cannot install a v1.3.2 update directly. You must apply updates sequentially or use a single "full update" NSP that contains all accumulated patches.
