When she touches it, a vision flashes: Veyle, arguing with a hooded figure. “The Shard isn’t a tool—it’s a prison,” Veyle says. The figure replies: “Then we will break it open.”

She didn’t stop until she reached Marble Town’s Pokémon Lab, where Professor Algaro—a man with kind eyes but a haunted slouch—dropped his coffee the moment she placed the Opalo Pokédex on his desk.
