Player.bin Pes 2021 Location -

If you edit Player.bin after starting a Master League save, the changes will not apply to that existing save. You must start a new ML career for the edited player stats to take effect.

Many new modders look here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\eFootball PES 2021\

You will find PES2021.exe, cpk folders, and download (for sider mods), but no Player.bin.

Why? PES 2021 uses a "Virtual File System." The game reads the default Konami player data from inside the encrypted .cpk files (specifically dt10_x64.cpk). When you edit a player, the game writes the changes to the Player.bin inside your Documents folder, overriding the default data.

If you are using Sider (the most popular modding tool for PES 2021), and you have downloaded a mod that adds classic players or expands player databases, the Player.bin file will typically be located in the "livecpk" folder structure.

Path:

[Your Game Directory]\Sider\livecpk\[ModFolderName]\common\etc\pesdb\

This is the #1 question asked on forums like Evo-Web and Reddit: "I followed the path, but there is no Player.bin file!"

Reason: Konami does not generate a standalone Player.bin during normal play. The game uses EDIT00000000 to save your edit data. The Player.bin is an export file.

You have two ways to create it:

Once you have located Player.bin, you may want to edit it (e.g., change a retired player's age, boost stats).

Warning: Always keep an unedited backup before making changes. One wrong hex value can crash your entire Master League save.

90% of PES 2021 PC players use Sider (a dynamic mod loader). If you have installed VirtuaRED, Dream Patch, or Smoke Patch (Football Life), the Player.bin location changes. These patches create a virtual file system to avoid corrupting the original game.

For Sider-based mods:

\Your PES 2021 Root Folder\Sider-x.x\livecpk\VirtualRed\common\etc\pesdb\

Or, depending on the patch:

\PES 2021\Sider\livecpk\DreamPatch\common\etc\pesdb\

Why here? The pesdb folder contains all database .bin files. The Player.bin in this location overrides the vanilla one when Sider is running. Never edit the one in ProgramData if you use Sider—always edit the one inside your livecpk folder.

Here are four common reasons why Player.bin is missing from your system:

1. You haven't created a "player-based" edit yet.

2. Your antivirus deleted it. Many PES editors are flagged as false positives. Check your quarantine folder.

3. You are using a pre-edited Patch (like VirtuaRED). These patches often rename Player.bin to Player.bin.original or integrate it into a larger .cpk file. Search your entire PES root folder for *.bin. If you edit Player

4. Windows File Explorer search is failing. Windows search frequently ignores ProgramData. Use Everything (VoidTools) to search your entire drive instantly.
