Many older Canon LiDE scanners and HP All-in-One printers only work perfectly with PhotoImpression 4 or 5. Newer software (like PhotoImpression 6 or 7) dropped support for TWAIN drivers that legacy hardware relies on. The old version is often the only thing that makes a $200 scanner work on Windows 10/11.
