Picking up right after The Suicide Squad (2021), Christopher Smith (Peacemaker) survives a gunshot wound and is reluctantly recruited by a black-ops team called Project Butterfly. The pilot establishes his fractured psyche, his toxic relationship with his white supremacist father, and his absurdly hilarious sidekick—an eagle named Eagly.
