Suddenly, a pop-up appears: "Verification Required. Prove you are human to avoid a ban."
The site then asks you to complete a "survey," download a mobile app, or enter your phone number for a "free trial." These tasks generate affiliate revenue for the scammer. You complete the survey, but the Crowns never arrive. You have wasted 15 minutes and potentially given away personal data.
