The rain lashed against the carriage windows, blurring the world into streaks of gray and green. Inside, Beauty clutched a faded letter in her trembling hands. It was from her father, a merchant who had vanished weeks ago after speaking of a grand estate hidden deep within the Darkwood Forest. He had written of a "terrible mistake" and a "beastly guardian."

Guided by the letter and the eerie glow of her lantern, Beauty stepped out of the carriage. The road ahead was blocked by a massive iron gate, wrought with the image of a snarling gargoyle. This was the entrance to the Mystery Legends.
