Msts Shape File Manager 25 Install -

DO NOT install into Program Files or Program Files (x86). Windows UAC will block write permissions.

Recommended location:
C:\MSTS\UTILITIES\ShapeFileManager\ msts shape file manager 25 install

Or directly inside your MSTS root folder:
C:\MSTS\ShapeFileManager\ DO NOT install into Program Files or Program Files (x86)

Why? SFM modifies .s files in place. Installing outside protected system folders avoids permission errors. SFM 25 was built on

SFM 25 was built on .NET Framework 2.0/3.5. Windows 10 and 11 do not enable this by default.

Cause: The shape file is compressed. SFM cannot read compressed shapes. Fix: Use Shape File Uncompressor (another Paul Gausden tool) or within SFM, go to Action > Uncompress shape before editing.
