Localhost11501 - Repack
Symptom: Server console shows no activity when you launch the game. Solution: Check your firewall. Windows Defender Firewall often blocks custom .exes. Go to Control Panel → Windows Defender Firewall → Allow an app or feature → Add the game client and the server .exe, then allow both on Private networks.

A port is a virtual endpoint for network communication. Think of an IP address as a street address and ports as different doors into the same building. Port 11501 is not one of the "well-known" ports (like 80 for HTTP or 443 for HTTPS). Instead, it falls into the registered or dynamic port range (1024–49151). So why 11501? A more controversial use: some software cracks or activators create a local "license server" that mimics the official vendor's activation server. The repack runs a small HTTP or TCP server on localhost:11501. The cracked software is redirected (via hosts file modification) to call localhost:11501 instead of the real vendor server, which then responds with a valid license. This is technically illegal in many jurisdictions.
The biggest issue with localhost11501 is that it acts as an aggregator that steals content.
