Carry Ponygirl Target: Lift

Three ponygirl/handler pairs. One handler lifts, carries to target, rings a bell, then next pair begins. Fastest total time wins, with 2-second penalties for missing target center.

Let’s be realistic: Physics is the ultimate handler. For a sustainable lift carry dynamic, the ponygirl should typically fall into a lightweight or lightweight-medium class (under 140 lbs / 63 kg is ideal for most non-competitive handlers, though experienced strongmen can lift more).

The target weight ratio is 2:1. The handler should be able to squat 2x the ponygirl’s body weight to safely perform dynamic carries.

Once the lift is complete, the carry begins. This is where endurance meets stability. lift carry ponygirl target

For a ponygirl, the carry phase is often the most psychologically rewarding. She is completely off the ground, helpless to the handler’s momentum, yet still expected to maintain “pony pose” (curled neck, hooves tucked).

  • Bridal carry (one-person cradle):

  • Fireman’s carry (advanced; needs training): Three ponygirl/handler pairs

  • Backpack/straddle carry (performance/ponygirl style):

  • Once the basic lift carry ponygirl target is mastered at 80% success rate, add complexity:

Target is a 24-inch high platform (like a milking stand or medical exam table). Handler must lift the ponygirl from floor to platform without scraping her harness. Bridal carry (one-person cradle):

The Golden Rule: If you cannot lift the ponygirl smoothly from the floor to your waist without shaking, you are not ready for the carry. Lower the target repetition or reduce distance.

Because lift carry ponygirl target involves heavy loads and vulnerable joint positions, safety is non-negotiable.
