Lego Ninjago Masters Of Spinjitzu - Season 5
If you are a collector, LEGO Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu - Season 5 produced some of the most iconic sets:
Season 5 introduced a darker aesthetic to the show. Morro is arguably one of the best-written antagonists in the series. He isn't evil for the sake of evil; he is a tragic character defined by envy. He wanted to be the Green Ninja so badly that it corrupted his soul, leading to his banishment to the Cursed Realm.
Morro commands the Ghost Warriors, a creepy faction that brought a supernatural horror vibe to the cartoon. By Season 5, Wil Film (the Danish studio behind Ninjago) had fully matured. The ghost effects are remarkable: translucent layering, glowing auras, and fluid motion that makes Morro feel like a cloud of rage rather than a solid fighter. “Possession” permanently altered Ninjago’s DNA. After this season, death became a real consequence (Morro remains a ghost, refusing reincarnation). The concept of “realms” expanded beyond Ninjago, setting up future crossovers. Most importantly, it established that the show’s villains could be sympathetic without being redeemable. Morro remains a fan-favorite character, appearing in flashbacks and cameos for years to come. His final line – “Don't make the same mistake I did, Wu. Don't let your students fail because of your pride” – echoes through later seasons.
