Before we can merge Body Positivity with wellness, we need to clear up a major misconception.

Body Positivity is not an excuse for laziness. It is not a movement that claims "salad is bad" or that exercise is oppressive. Rather, Body Positivity is the political and social belief that all bodies deserve dignity, respect, and access to healthcare—regardless of their size, shape, or ability.

When you try to force a "traditional" wellness lifestyle (calorie counting, high-intensity workouts, rigid meal plans) onto a body that doesn't fit the mold, you usually end up with shame, burnout, and often—paradoxically—worse health outcomes.

The magic happens when we flip the script. Instead of doing wellness to achieve a certain body, we do wellness from a place of body acceptance.


The most toxic trope in the wellness industry is the "transformation" photo. The "Before" body is usually slouched, poorly lit, and miserable. The "After" body is tanned, toned, and smiling. Forget the "no pain, no gain" mentality
