Never, under any circumstances, use a trainer in online multiplayer. Homeworld Remastered uses a desync system; memory modification will instantly desync you from the host. Furthermore, it violates the Gearbox EULA.
Purists may scoff, but the 21-trainer serves several legitimate player motivations:

The Salvage Corvette Addict: One of the greatest joys of Homeworld is stealing enemy ships. With "God Mode" and "Infinite Resources," you can send a swarm of Salvage Corvettes to capture an entire enemy fleet, turning the campaign into a hilarious game of cosmic grand theft starship.
