While not game-breaking, Dammitbird took the opportunity to scrub through the script, fixing over 30 typos, misgendered pronouns (critical for the Darius route), and broken line breaks.
If you already finished v0.55 without encountering a crash—congratulations. You do not need to replay unless you want to experience the restored audio and corrected Maeve scene. However, if you abandoned the game due to the KeyError or the Maeve lock, Hotfix 1 is a mandatory download.
Pro tip: After patching, it’s recommended to load a save from just before the “Lakeside Confession” (roughly 30 minutes prior) rather than an auto-save during the broken event. This ensures all flags reset correctly.
