Q: Will this work on a real PSP or PS Vita? A: No. The original PSP has only 64MB of RAM and cannot load 4x textures. The PS Vita has better hardware, but its official God Eater ports (Resurrection/Rage Burst) are superior. This is exclusive to PPSSPP.

Q: Does this work with God Eater Resurrection (the fan translation)? A: No. Resurrection is a different game (the 2015 remake). This pack is strictly for God Eater Burst (PSP 2010). There are separate HD packs for Resurrection.

Q: The textures cause crashes in multiplayer (Adhoc). A: Yes. PPSSPP’s texture replacement is sometimes unstable on networked games. If playing co-op locally, disable texture replacement (Settings > Tools > Replace Textures: Off).

Q: Can I use these textures on the Steam Deck? A: Absolutely. Install PPSSPP via EmuDeck, then copy the TEXTURES folder into the Emulation/storage/PPSSPP/PSP/TEXTURES directory. The Steam Deck’s 800p screen with 2x upscaling looks phenomenal. Inside the TEXTURES folder, create a subfolder named

If you own the original PSP version (or legally acquired ISO), this breathing new life into it costs nothing but a few minutes of setup.

Unlike simple upscaling (which the emulator can do via resolution multipliers), an HD texture pack replaces the original low-resolution textures stored in the game’s files with hand-drawn or AI-upscaled versions. When PPSSPP loads the game, it checks for these replacements and renders them at much higher detail.
