Evolvedfights 24 10 11 Avery Jane Vs Josh River... «Limited Time»
Midway through Round 1, River shot for a double-leg takedown—his safest path to victory. Jane, expecting it, sprawled hard and locked up a guillotine choke. River powered out, but Jane transitioned seamlessly into a D’Arce choke from top half-guard. The crowd roared as River’s face turned crimson. Incredibly, he slipped free and ended the round on top, landing short elbows.
Round 2 belonged entirely to Jane. She abandoned caution, walking River down and landing a vicious right hook that buckled his knees. A follow-up knee to the body sent River retreating to the fence. Jane swarmed with combinations, forcing the referee to take a long look. River survived, but his corner was screaming for a takedown.

Avery’s higher accuracy and the ability to land a fight‑ending kick in the later rounds were decisive. Rivers showed heart, but the cumulative damage from Jane’s body work and the late high‑kick proved too much.
When the scores were read, a disappointed Josh River dropped to a knee. “I felt I controlled the majority of the third,” he said in post-fight. “But Avery’s a warrior. She never quits.” EvolvedFights 24 10 11 Avery Jane Vs Josh River...
Avery Jane, now 5-1 in her last six, was gracious in victory. “Josh is a future champion,” she said, wiping blood from her lip. “He took my back, my mount... but he couldn’t break my will. That’s the EvolvedFights difference.”
If Jane gets booked against the current champion (or a top‑5 opponent) at EvolvedFights #27, I think she’ll repeat the same game plan: establish distance, use low kicks to wear down the opponent’s base, and look for that high‑kick finish in the later rounds. Expect a unanimous decision if the champion can avoid the high‑kick, but a TKO if they’re forced into the clinch where Jane’s elbows become a factor.
The event—coded as EvolvedFights 24 10 11—will not go down in history books alongside Ali-Frazier or McGregor-Diaz. But it represents something equally important: the rise of cross-promotional, gender-bending, weight-defying super-fights that modern audiences crave.

For fans who missed it, the full replay is available on EvolvedFights’ PPV archive. Watch it for the bodywork of Jane in Round 2. Watch it for the heart of River in Round 3. And watch it for the moment a rising star (Jane) banished the ghost of her only defeat.
Verdict of the Night: Evolution isn’t always pretty. But it is always compelling.

Avery Jane’s corner, led by head coach Marcus “Scythe” Lattimore, demanded urgency. She answered immediately. By feinting a low kick, Jane drew River’s hands down and cracked him with an overhand right that staggered the grappler. When the scores were read, a disappointed Josh
River shot desperately for a takedown, but Jane sprawled hard, forcing a stalemate against the fence. For the next three minutes, Jane punished River’s lead leg with heavy calf kicks, visibly slowing his movement. With a minute left, she separated and landed a picture-perfect spinning back fist that bloodied River’s nose.
River managed a late takedown, but Jane popped back to her feet before the horn, raising her hands in defiance.
Round Score: 10-9 Jane
