Unlike most Chhota Bheem films stuck in a generic Rajasthani-fantasy setting, Dholakpur to Kathmandu genuinely tries to incorporate Nepali architecture, mountain landscapes, and local folklore (yetis, mystical monks). When the evil sorcerer Jaggu (a new villain introduced in this film) kidnaps King Indravarma’s beloved elephant, Indravarma’s daughter – Princess Indumati – along with Chhota Bheem and his friends (Chutki, Raju, Jaggu, Kalia, Dholu, Bholu), travel from Dholakpur to the mysterious city of Kathmandu, Nepal. There, they discover a hidden valley, a cursed temple, and a magical yeti.
