Cause: You downloaded a driver for the wrong hardware ID.
Fix: Double-check your Hardware ID (see Part 3). Uninstall the wrong driver: Device Manager → right-click BTIS → Uninstall device → check "Delete driver software" → reboot. Then install the correct one.
Because Windows 11 includes generic drivers for many components but not for proprietary TPM chips from Infineon, STMicro, or older Broadcom controllers. You must install the vendor-specific driver.
Cause: TPM is disabled in BIOS/UEFI.

Go to your laptop or motherboard manufacturer’s website.
Search for keywords: TPM driver, Security driver, Infineon TPM, ST TPM.
Technically, Windows 11 will boot and run normally without a working BTIS driver. However, you lose: Cause: You downloaded a driver for the wrong hardware ID
If you use your PC only for gaming, web browsing, or office work (without sensitive data), ignoring BTIS is low-risk. But for any professional or secure environment, fixing the BTIS driver is mandatory.
