If you have a 128GB USB drive, I strongly recommend doing it yourself. It takes 2 hours and you end up with a cleaner, updated library. Result: A faster
Here is the "Goldilocks" method:
Result: A faster, up-to-date, virus-free, and customized 128GB system that you actually want to play.
❌ Legal gray area – Contains copyrighted ROMs and BIOS files. Not for commercial use or distribution.
❌ 128GB fills up fast – Once you add PS2/GC/Wii games, you’ll have <20GB free.
❌ Some broken games – A handful of N64/PS2 titles may crash or have glitches (due to emulation, not Batocera).
❌ Updating is tricky – You can’t simply update Batocera via system update without risking game compatibility.
❌ Not for beginners – Flashing the image requires Balena Etcher or Raspberry Pi Imager. Resizing partitions requires GParted if using a larger drive.
❌ No included Windows dual-boot – You must boot from BIOS/UEFI manually or set USB as primary.
