Acpi Fnbt0000 Driver Fix May 2026

This is the most reliable fix. Generic drivers will never properly support ACPI FnBT0000 because it requires OEM-specific ACPI tables.

For Dell laptops:

  • Reboot.
  • For Lenovo laptops:

  • Install all, then restart.
  • For HP laptops:

  • Reboot after installation.
  • For Acer laptops:

    After installing these packages, return to Device Manager and check if the yellow mark on ACPI FnBT0000 has disappeared.

    Perform a clean install of Windows using the Media Creation Tool, but immediately after the first boot, install your laptop manufacturer’s chipset driver before connecting to the internet.     If you own a Dell laptop and none of the above work, Dell has a hidden command-line tool called DellCommand | Power Manager (formerly Dell Command | Configure). You can use it to reset the ACPI FnBT relationship.

    Warning: This resets BIOS settings. Re-enable any custom settings (VT-x, boot order) afterward.


    You open Device Manager and find an entry labeled "Unknown device". When you right-click it and select Properties > Details > Hardware Ids, you see something resembling: Reboot
