Sometimes the error persists due to a damaged installation.
RobotStudio 6.08 relies on specific iterations of Visual C++ (circa 2013). If you have newer versions installed (2015-2022), the 6.08 installer may crash upon launch, displaying a cryptic "side-by-side configuration is incorrect" error. Result: The VM acts as a time capsule
If RobotStudio still refuses to download via the internal tool, you can download the core components manually.
RobotStudio 6.08 uses a legacy ABB licensing service that pings an old IP address (licensing.abb.com:8080). That endpoint has been deprecated. Even if you download the software, the license activation loop fails unless you manually patch the licensing.ini file.
