Sometimes the original is fine. The latest stock firmware (look for version 20230701 or newer) actually fixed the overheating and sleep-of-death issues. Sometimes the original is fine

We ran the 825X Pro on legacy firmware (v3.x) versus the new v4.2.1 on a standardized test bench. The differences are not subtle.
